What Is Fastwaka?

We connect you with verified African-owned restaurants, grocery stores, and food businesses across Metro Manila, so you can order your favorites and have them delivered in under an hour.

The name says it all. "Fast" delivery. "Waka" is a Nigerian expression meaning to go or move. Fastwaka: food that moves fast, just the way you like it.

Why We Built Fastwaka

The African community in the Philippines is growing steadily. Students, entrepreneurs, professionals, and families from Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, and across the continent now call Metro Manila home. Every single one of them knows the struggle of finding authentic African food in a city where it is hard to come by, and even harder to have delivered.

Fastwaka was built because that gap needed to be filled. We understand the African diaspora experience because we live it. We know what it means to crave a proper bowl of egusi soup, a plate of jollof rice done the right way, or suya that actually tastes like suya, not a pale imitation.
